Before Second Puberty, my two best friends and I were inseparable: childhood, school, games, college, everything. At seventeen, I told them I had just been diagnosed with Second Puberty, and they promised nothing would change. At twenty, it finally happened, and I became a girl for good. At first, I struggled with being a girl: bras, shaving, periods, stares… all while they grew more protective of me, and soon after, competitive. Their kindness turned into jealousy. By last year, they both wanted me, and four months ago, they got into a fight so bad it broke our trio. I thought they would get past it, but apparently, this time was real.
